The minimal style revisited in a contemporary way. It starts from here, Weili Zheng's fall/winter 2016/17 collection that plays with contaminations and contrasts. A woman that is glamorous and elegant, classical in its essence, and naturally sensual. She wears knit dresses and wool pencil skirts: they cling to the body and the result is seductive. Faux fur is the key role on coats, presenting dry cuts, wool vests and ultra-feminine bombers. The fabrics are all stolen from the men's wardrobe: wool, fustian, tweed, pinstripes. The volumes are intentionally oversized, the body is lost inside of coats, while hems are raw cut. The mood is inspired by a stolen wardrobe mixed with trendy, and willingly eccentric clothes. The sweaters are heavy and comfortable, presenting mottling of yarns, worn over-sized on shirts, wool pants or tight penciled skirts. The jackets are sought from the combinations of materials; neoprene, brushed wool, felt, and fur shape the linear coats with contrasting collars, masculine-cut jackets and warm cabans. The extremely elegant and sophisticated color palette ranges from grey, butter, petroleum green, chocolate and nude that seals a whole ready to wear collection.
